International workshop on strong correlations and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy(CORPES17)


The program will be a balanced fusion of currently well-established and newly emerging topics. It is intended to bring together experts and newcomers in the field, to learn from one another, and to foster collaborations. We will preserve the workshop spirit, i.e., a linear schedule with no parallel sessions and ample time for discussion after each presentation as well as between sessions. Applicants to the workshop will be selected to give either oral or poster presentations, with the latter being given significant weight to the program including short oral poster "flash sessions".

Presentation Information

Oral presentation:
Invited talk: 30 min. (incl. discussion)
Contributed talk: 20 min. (incl. discussion)
Please check connection between your PC and projector in advance.

Poster presentation:
Poster board size: 900 mm (width) × 2100 mm (height).
Posting materials will be provided.
Please put your poster on the board before the poster session on July 2, and post it until the end of the workshop (July 7).

There will a poster preview session on July 3-4. You can present your poster in 2min. Please prepare 1 page pdf file for your presentation, and send it to by June 23, 2017.
On July 3, poster presentation with odd abstract number. On July 4, poster presentaiton with even abstract number.

Excursion and Banquet Information

  • 13:10 (Aster plaza) Get on the excursion bus
    *Please enjoy Japanese style lunch box (light meal) in the bus. If you requested a special food (vegetarian food etc.) in the web registration form, please inform staffs on the registration desk before getting on the bus. We will give you a special lunch box according to your preferences.
  • 14:30~17:30 Guided tour
    * We will split into two groups.
    Group 1: Itsukushima Shrine – Daisyoin / Group 2: Daisyoin – Itsukushima Shrine
    * Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes for walking. We will walk ~4 km including stone stairs. If you feel it is too much, please inform the staff at the registration desk. We will arrange a comfortable course for you.
  • 17:30 (Miyajima)~17:50 (Miyajima-guchi) Ferry
  • 17:50~18:00 Move to Aki Grand Hotel (安芸グランドホテル) by excursion bus
    *Please come to the Ferry terminal at 17:30. We will get on the Ferry together, and move to the Aki Grand Hotel (banquet venue) by excursion bus. If you miss the meeting time, you have to pay the Ferry fare by yourself, and go to the hotel by yourself. Please see the map below, for the free shuttle bus to the hotel.

  • 18:30~21:00 Banquet at Aki Grand Hotel (安芸グランドホテル)
    Aki Grand Hotel ( is close to the JR Miyajimaguchi station. If you do not join the excursion, but attend the banquet, please come to the hotel by yourself. There is a free shuttle bus from the JR Miyajimaguchi station, every 30 minutes, from 15:00 until 18:30. Please see the map below for the bus stop.
  • 21:00 (Aki Grand Hotel)~21:40 (Aster plaza) Excursion bus
    *The bus will make several stops in Hiroshima city between Aster plaza and Hiroshima station.
